What we keep
This is the whole of it. Sock of the Month collects what it needs to post you socks and charge you for them, and nothing else is done with any of it.
Effective 13 August 2026 · Rovertown, St. Louis, Missouri, USA
What we collect
- Your name and email address. The email identifies your subscription and is where we write to you about it.
- Shipping addresses — yours, and the address of anybody you add to a Friends & Family plan. If you put somebody else's address in, you are telling us you may.
- Your order and subscription history: which tier, what was charged, what shipped, and when.
Your card
Rovertown never stores your card number. Card details are captured directly by Fiserv, in fields Fiserv hosts on their own domain, and they never pass through our servers. Fiserv gives us back a token — a reference that lets us charge that card again for your monthly renewal and nothing else. What we hold is the token, the card brand and the last four digits, which is what a receipt line needs.
Signing in with Google
Google sign-in is used for identity only: it proves you control the email address your subscription is under, which is how your account page finds it. We do not read your Gmail, your contacts, your calendar or your Drive, and we ask Google for no access to any of them.
Who we share it with
- Fulfilment and shipping partners, and only what they need to get a package to a door: name and address. That is the one purpose addresses are ever shared for.
- Fiserv, as our payment processor, to take the payment you asked us to take.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anybody else's advertising. There is no other sharing.
We send transactional email only — order confirmations, your subscription welcome, renewal receipts, a notice if a payment fails, and cancellation confirmations. Marketing email would need you to opt in separately, and we have not asked you to.
Promo codes
Where a promo code has to know whether you have used it before, we store a one-way hash of your email address and not the address itself. It lets us recognise the same address again; it is not a profile, and it cannot be turned back into your email.
How long we keep it
For as long as your subscription is active, and afterwards for as long as we need the record of what was sold and shipped. Cancelling stops the charges; it does not by itself erase the history of the orders that were placed.
Getting it deleted
Write to mike@rovertown.com and ask. We will delete what we hold about you, other than records we are required to keep for accounting. You can also ask us what we hold, or ask us to correct it, at the same address. Your shipping address is editable by you at any time on your account page.
Where it lives
On Rovertown's systems in the United States, and on Fiserv's for the payment token. This program ships to US addresses only.
If this notice changes in a way that affects what we collect or who we share it with, we will tell you at the email address on your subscription.
