It started as a joke about knocking your socks off.

Jeffry promised a room full of retailers we would knock their socks off, and then had to go and do something about it. Rovertown socks have been turning up at conferences, in golf carts and under office desks ever since. Socks go bad, which is the entire reason this is a club and not a one‑off: a fresh pair turns up every month, and the only thing left to decide is how many.
